13Montpelier’s Final Show, New EP Release
Hello friends
We recently decided that after more than 2 years together Montpelier will go on an indefinite hiatus. To celebrate our time together as a band and to thank you all for your amazing support we will be playing one final show on January 14th, 2012. We will also be releasing our second EP, titled “Feed The City”.
We’d love more than anything for you to share one more night of music with us and to celebrate what you’ve helped us achieve in our time as a band. We’re so so excited and grateful that our dear friends Charlie Mayfair will once again be taking the stage with us.
“Feed The City” is a project that started way back in late 2009 when we met ARIA nominated producer and Hall of Fame member TimEbandit and began demoing songs. Our collaboration with him continued for the next 2 years and we’re so proud to be able to release the record for you to hear.
Tickets for the show are now on sale from OzTix. As part of the ticket price you can choose to pre-order a copy of “Feed The City” which will be released digitally in January. Included will be a booklet of all the artwork from the project as well as complete lyrics. All the artwork is by acclaimed artist Jefferton James who we have collaborated with for the entire project.

We’ve had an amazing time in the years we’ve been Montpelier and we’d like to sincerely thank you all for being wonderful friends and fans over that time.

Touring With The Panda Band
Brilliant Perth act The Panda Band have just released their new album “Charisma Weapon” and they’re going on a national tour. We’re playing a whole bunch of the dates with them in August in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. It’s going to be great. Really really great. You can buy tickets to most of the shows. This Is The TimeBandit
This is Tim Powles, aka The TimeBandit, the producer we’re working with. As well as making great records and being ARIA nominated for them, he’s been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and plays drums for The Church. In his earlier days he used to play in an awesome band called The Venetians as well as playing drums on all sorts of radical records. He’s an amazing dude and it’s a very special thing that we’re able to be working with him.

We’ve Been Making a New Record
Over the last year we’ve been making a new record. We met an amazing producer named Tim Powles and started demoing in his studio in Sydney whenever we were touring in that neck of the woods. Without really meaning to and without really knowing when, the project turned into an album. This is an exciting deal for us. Next week we’re heading to Sydney once more to finish the record. The finished thing is so near it’s hard to describe the feeling. It’s an exciting time to be alive.
